Cookie Policy

Last updated: 26 July 2026

A complete list — not a summary. If it stores something in your browser, it is on this page.

What this covers

"Cookies" here means cookies and the equivalent browser storage technologies we use — localStorage in particular, which the law treats the same way. Everything this site stores in your browser is listed below.

How this interacts with your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Your choice

We use two kinds of storage: strictly necessary (the site does not work without it, so it needs no consent) and analytics (optional, and entirely your call).

Analytics cookies are blocked until you accept them — wherever in the world you are. We ask with a banner on your first visit, and nothing analytics-related is written before you answer. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland that prior opt-in is required by law; everywhere else we ask anyway, because a banner that appears after tracking has already started is not a real choice. Declining changes nothing about how the site works for you, and you can change your mind here at any time.

Your choice is stored on this device only, so you will need to set it again on another browser or after clearing your browser data.

Strictly necessary

These make the cart, sign-in, and security work. They cannot be switched off from here — you can block them in your browser, but the cart and Binder Studio accounts will stop working.

Name Type Set by Purpose Duration
opc_cart localStorage This site Remembers what is in your cart so it survives page navigation. Until you check out or clear it
opc_consent localStorage This site Records your cookie choice so we do not ask again — and so a refusal is respected on every page. Until you clear it or reset your choice
opc_binders localStorage This site Stores the binders you build in Binder Studio on your own device, so they survive closing the tab. Never leaves your browser unless you create an account. Until you delete the binders
opc_session Cookie (HttpOnly, Secure) Binder Studio API Keeps you signed in to your Binder Studio account. Set only after you sign in. Opaque random token — it holds no personal information itself. Until it expires or you sign out
opc_oauth_state Cookie (HttpOnly, Secure) Binder Studio API Anti-forgery (CSRF) token used only during a “Sign in with Google” round trip, to prove the response came back from the request you started. 10 minutes
__cf_bm, cf_clearance Cookie Cloudflare Bot detection and DDoS protection for the site and its APIs. 30 minutes – 1 year

Analytics — optional

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages and designs people actually find useful. We have not enabled Google Signals, advertising features, remarketing, or cross-device tracking, and we do not run any advertising pixels. Google truncates IP addresses before storage, and we keep analytics data for 14 months.

Name Type Set by Purpose Duration
_ga Cookie Google Analytics 4 Assigns a pseudonymous identifier so repeat visits count as one visitor, not several. 2 years
_ga_<container-id> Cookie Google Analytics 4 Maintains the analytics session state for this property. 2 years

Google's handling of this data is covered by its Privacy Policy . You can also install Google's browser opt-out add-on to block Analytics on every site you visit.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by services we hand you over to, not by this site:

  • Lemon Squeezy — our payment provider and Merchant of Record. Its checkout overlay sets its own cookies when you open it. See Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy .
  • Google — if you use "Sign in with Google" for Binder Studio, Google sets cookies on its own domain during sign-in.
  • Etsy — our Etsy shop is a separate site with its own cookies and policies.

We have no control over these and cannot set or clear them on those companies' behalf.

Managing cookies in your browser

Your browser can block or delete cookies for any site. Doing so here will clear your cart, sign you out of Binder Studio, and reset your consent choice.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove anything that stores data in your browser, this page changes with it. The current version always lives here with its "last updated" date. Questions: [email protected].
